Pulls nice with a 21' v drive. should haul ass with an 18'.
If you have a newer version should be even better with the independent suspension and 6 speed trans.
I pulled my 20' Hawaiian from lower Michigan to northwestern Minnesota with a lincolin town car and got 17.5 mpg. I think the 'gator can handle it

I've pulled my 19 foot jet and 18 foot flat with a wagon.
A Yugo will pull a small jet.
..I used the Navi for a year to pull a 7900# setup, you will have no probs
I've got an 01' that I purchased new. It has 90k and has never been into the shop except for routine maint. I pull a 21ft Ski Centurian, a 24 ft enclosed trailer and my 28ft Advantage Sport Cat with twin BBC. No problem with any of them. They have load levelers all around and tow fantastic. Hell you will barley notice an 18 behind when towing.

Thanks for all the input. I did not think there would be any problem. We just bought our '05 with 12000 miles today from our neighbor. Smokin deal, could not pass it up.
