An Arizona man was killed after he was struck by lightning while riding a personal watercraft on Lake Powell over the weekend.
Authorities say 48-year-old Kenneth Vandehei was about 200 feet east of the main launch ramp at Wahweap Marina when he was hit by lightning Sunday afternoon.

dumb ass, alot of people don't study the weather and don't care, but if you don't look around at your surroundings, things like this will happen.

We stayed in Balance Rock Canyon up past DR about mile marker 48 mid-late July for 10 days and had a bitchen storm one evening. Waterfalls off the bluffs, steam off the hills and a complete double rainbow looking across the lake from where we were with both ends of both rainbows showing. Majestic place.......no better place for me.
