1978 Charger??

I can't seem to find much info on my 78 charger jet boat, other than it was made in CA. is it a knockoff?? seems to resemble others I've seen. I would like to know any history of this boat, models made?? my model??

The top looks like my Challenger, which is a close resemblence to a Southwind 18.
