I just fried one of my speakerrrrrrrrzzzzzzzzz :cry:
Got a little overly excited with the volume knob and saturated one of my 15" Black Widow Peaveys with a little too much distortion. I was too busy riding my chair across the garrage to notice the clip lights at full red
still sounds ok as long as I throw enough current to it to make it move. but at normal listening levels it buzzes
I guess it's time to switch the compressor/limiters back on. and make a trip to the dealer for a new basket . Anyone here have a Peavey hook up ?

Thats the cause of it all. a few beers. and some Infected Mushroom techno trance.
I think I have it patched up for now . A few passes with 1000 grit wet/dry on the voice coil to relieve the melted epoxy clump that had gathered at the hot spot and a little tweaking on the magnet posistion and I'm rocking again. still need a replacement basket though
Something tells me I'm gonna need it in the near future
