Whats the pressure at??We need more info...
cold pressure???
warmed up pressure????
warmed up pressure at WOT?????
Where is it falling to????
When I gave the motor some gas the oil pressure drops.I check the oil pickup and it's ok.Can the clearance between the rods cause this?
What should they be on a BBF?
Thank you
Brian

Rod side clearance as absolutely nothing to do with that, you say the pickup is ok but did you check the clearance between the pan and the pickup???..
Got a remote oil filter? Check the plumbing...............MP

Brian, where is the pickup in your pan? Is it at the front of the engine or is it at the rear of the engine?

sick-o...........................
When the the oil is cold it's about 75 psi and it drop down using (20-50w).I don't know how far it goes because a new engine each year is getting very expensive So I'm not pushing my luck.Because I known there is something is wrong with this engine .I never had a engine that losing oil pressure like this that acts like it's low on oil.The oil pickup is in the rear of the engine.I add to the oil pan so it holds about 9 qts now.The pickup is about 1 inch or so above the pan
yes It has a remote oil filter,I think it comes out the top fitting and goes in to the center the filter and out then goes in a cooler then it goes out back the engine at the bottom fitting.I can't be positve about it until i go look at.But if they are on backwards It would not get any pressure would it??????
If you need more infor I be happly give it to you.I would like keep this engine together as long as I can
Thank you
Brian
Have you recently re attached the hoses? And yes, you will get the exact results you're getting if it is plumbed backward. If the system has been in service, and not messed with, it isn't your new problem. Unless your filter didn't have any drain back baffles in it....... New filter?? MP
PS 1" is too much, I think 3/8ths to 1/2" is what is recomended.
