So I guess I did not like the one I had after opening up the bottom half of the case, it did not look so good. I have priced out replacing all of the parts and the cost is way to freaken high so I was looking for just a replacement one. So who has the hook up on a new or rebuilt engine.
    Thanks Boat loan guy

    You have a Banshee!?

Its almost cheaper to buy a used Banshee than just the engine. Good luck though. What were they asking for the parts? I blew my crank and Magic racing wants 600 for a 4mm stroked complete with spacer. Not a bad price. I would think Riverside would have more than a few shops to choose from.

In my opinion there is only one man to see Rudy Kurtz at Port Magic in Hesperia. We found him through friends at Montclair Yamaha...he is absolutely the MAN when it comes to Banshees. He did a full race port and polish on my wifes 2000 Banshee. His motor work along with Toomies...and she could blow my doors off running any hill and I ride a WR426 with the hot cams and pipe. That Banshee was the fasest and most reliable thing I have ever ridden. He set it up so we could run 1/2 and 1/2 Race gas and 91 octane. It was the ultimate sleeper. She made many a chromed, out blinged, extened swing arm, tricked out hill shooter look bad. On top of it all the thing was still very dunable...it would simply rev and rev and rev....
I'll get his number from work tomorrow for you. Seriously he is absolutely the only person to call. I think his re-build is around $800 depending on parts but well worth it. Everyone I know that is still riding a Banshee uses Rudy and no one has been disappointed.
On a side note if you go see him ask about the alcohol running 750 rotax motors mated to Banshee gearboxes and shoe horned into Banshee frames....totally insane and he used to race them every weekend.

    What is the problem exactly?
Like it was said, people buy Banshee's just for the motors.
Yamaha is pretty weird about selling motors for some reason. You can buy every SINGLE peice, but not a complete assembly.
Honda motors are available as many as you want.
