Thread: Retiring to Shell Knob, MO ???

We have sold our home and I am going to retire. I have been looking at real estate @ Table Rock Lake for almost two years now. I like the Shell Knob area and will try to purchase a place on the lake. My question concerns my boat. It is a 75' Sanger Mini with a blown 502. Will I be able to use it on Table Rock? It is not loud w/through transom exhaust. I have invested a lot of $$ and really like it, and don't want to sell it. Any "locals" that could offer advise. Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing you mean a 25'?? Anyway, I live about 45 minutes from the lake & I've boated on it for the last 20 years so anything you need to know ask away. If you are concerned with water conditions you have nothing to worry about down in the Shell Knob area. Once you get up towards Kimberling City bridge then that is another story. A lot of big cruisers coming in & out of there throwing some big wakes.
Another one of the board you might ask is Ken F., his brother lives in Shell Knob & he spends a lot of time there.

Man that is nice area, we travel through there on our way to Branson, the lake is awsome, no traffic clear water,,,you will be fine with your boat, there is a rather large yearly gathering at Eagle Rock, I think they call it jetfest or table rock roost or something, I hate to say it but search this forum and you will find info.....Jason

I am sorry Dave for the misunderstanding. My boat is a 1975 Sanger that is 21 ft long. Being a soon to be retired HS shop teacher I (for sure)can not afford a 75 ft boat.

Remember, I am a soon to be retired HS shop teacher. And "no" I didn't win the lottery. I have been looking for over 2 years now. LOTO is more expensive than Table Rock and the water quality is not as nice. You might want to look at Lakehouse.com for comparisons. You can "Click" on a state and it will list lakes of that state and lakefront listings available. Goggle has
also been helpful in my search. Need to get out of CA
