    Hey All,
I finally found a boat that I think I want and my insurance company tells me they won't insure it. I have the financing all set to go (Essex) but don't want to buy a boat I can't insure. Who does everyone here use for insurance?
I am looking at buying a '98 Eliminator Daytona 21 with Pro Max 300 O/B. They say since it will go over 60 MPH they can't cover it.
How much should this boat cost to insure?
    Thanks,
    Lake Ape

    Tell them it's a bass boat........sorry.
Seriously, how much insurance do you have with this company? Just tell them they'll insure your boat or you'll take your business elsewhere. Unless this is the only policy of yours they hold.

They hold the policy for my house, cars, business, general liability etc. but say it's company policy nationwide not to cover boats that do over 60 or that have a tunnel hull.

Cats are tough to insure. Get your insurance before you buy it.
search cats & tunnels for insurance threads and you will get the idea
