Thread: .095% slip- sound right?

    Thats what I got when I crunched the numbers 68.5 @5k rpm w/ 24p prop & 1.5 gears. Does this sound right? It sounds a little low to me but I am no expert.

    Thats the right calculation. Did the speed come from GPS, or speedo? Seems ultra efficient.

    That number is incorrect. 9.5% is a more likely reading.

    Using the numbers you provided, you are at 10% slip which is a very normal reading.

    I'm sorry, .095 is what I had ment. Didn't notice th % sign making it .o95%.

    yeah, just forgot to move the decimal when i put the % on there.
