I need help with my idler

I am trying to take my idler appart to get to the bearings.
I took the six bolts out to separate the two halves but It won't come appart. The two halves will rotate independantly. Do you usually have to press the center out or what??
Any help would be appreciated

u must have a "really" old idler pulley...i have never seen one held together with 6 bolts?...all the new one's are 1 piece alum/mag...my pulley has 2 snap rings that hold the bearings in...u might ck to see if urs has those, otherwise, i have no clue how to get the bearings out...u might also think about getting a new alum one...u can find them on EBay for a decent price (i bought mine there)...just my .02 cents...good luck
