Dude belts are night and day different than chains
they set up so easy and are infinately adjustable.
not to mention the hour or more of time it saves setting cam thrust.

    They have several advantages.
Worth the money? How much is it worth to you over a chain?
Less harmonics transfered to the valvetrain from the crankshaft.
Easy cam timing adjustments(with an open style belt)
No cam chain slop or wear, timing won't fluctuate.
You can usually swap cams without pulling the front cover.
    Cool factor of course
What is it worth to you?

I have a Jesel for my alloy motor, for my iron motor I use a double roller chain.
I can't say about the Comp unit. In my opinion Comp as a whole makes good parts, so I can't imagine they would make a product that is crap.
    I hope.

The comp is heads and shoulders above the Jesel.
I have three jesel units, and they will be my last. The comp is that much better. The thrust design is ultimately superior to the measured washers in the Jesel. (You will see what I mean when you set one up.) The idler keeps tension on the back side of the belt. And best of all, no problem running a cam driven water pump or fuel pump. The standard enderle cam drive hub bolts right on the front of the Comp unit.
Ooops. My mistake. There is one part better than all the others listed. . .
---You don't have to deal with Jesel!!---

Oh, you think that is bad, just try and speak with someone about it.
They think customer service is where people that use their products give them cash just because.
I don't care if you are Warren Johnson. Jesel won't do JACK for you. NEver have.
