And this is nuts.... Check this out.
They are building these island like things called palms. Well fist, they are building a group of islands that you can purchase for $7mil (US) each. Next the palm things are these HUGE palm like fingers taht will have houses and stuff on them out in the water.
If you look at the bottom fo this picture, you'll see that famous hotel that is a fortune to stay at.

They were showing the island and housing project being built on Modern Marvels on the History channel.
Huge expensive project. Weastern style homes.
It'll be constant replenishment of the sand on the beaches.
They sold out within the first day.
I think it's complete by now.
Gasoline was something like 33 cents a gallon.

I have a few buds working and now living down there. they say it's a pretty awsome place. They are paying Canadian oil and gas workers and engineers some pretty crazy dollars with some incredible benefits! 30 days on 30 days off - days off are full pay! I have an offer to head down there that we are still pondering. It';s amazing how that city has transformed due to the oil they are producing.
