How about "Hot Dam Hondo" and one of the 6 different "Crazy Horse" boats coming under the bridge at Needles. The Hondo we have is identical in setup to both of these boats. Would be a fairly simple transition.

You can go back to the sixties and do a "Mr. ED" or in the 70's like this one.

Dave the cars are not clones they are real cars like Steckers car that you did . Jim Lange is doing a resto deal for me right now we considered doing a Panic Mouse clone at one time but decided against it because it was not the real deal . We are doing a 64 Hallet sled with a wood deck Jim Miller is doing a new ribbon striped Mahogany deck and floors with laminated stringers and new bulkheads etc and were having a good time doing it . I think the boat guys need to dig some old stuff up and not build clones . A clone has no historical value other than to the owner . Are you going to the GNRS this weekend Im on my way out in a few .

A recreation of the straight deck "Panic Mouse" Hondo versus the early factory Sanger "Joker's Wild".

The fact is that many of the "Cacklefest" cars are re-creations. Pat Foster, Tom Hanna and a few others are doing very well building these re-pops for either the original owners or people who want to have the car they were fans of back in the day. The price of the re-creation of the "Beebe and Mulligan" top fueler was very near 100,000.00. Is the car worth it? Doubt the owner will have any trouble selling it when he's ready. Don't disagree that we shouldn't try to check the barns, garages and rafters to try and find the originals, but, in many cases it's not going to happen. I like to think that when I do a boat for someone, in some small way, I'm helping to make a dream come true, instead of another multicolor stripe job and a big block chevy with a tunnel ram, if someone wants to re-create a great old raceboat from the past...I say go for it! You won't be dissappointed with your decision and if guys like me and Billy can help...It would be an honor!
Not going to make the show...Leaving for Jamaica in the morning for a little time in the sun!!
