big block oil pressure

What kind of oil pressure do you guys have on start up and running also what weight oil?

flattie I have about 60psi @ idle at start up withe cool oil.I,m running straight 40wt. Kendal oil.

Everybody remember this and remember it well!!!! Ten lbs of pressure for every 1000 rpm. With proper oil clearances you'll run about 35-40 lbs hot at idle then about a 15 lb increase for every 1000 rpm.

hey flattie we started my bbc this weakend have 65 lb cold and 50lb hot on 10/40 oil for the breakin and 50 weight after that good luck tim

50wt kendal 65 psi cold at Idle 80 at 5000 when not too hot.
