I've been to a few gas stations where I'd rather run pooch piss than their gasoline.
Dog piss sounds like the ticket!
Hopefully it stays under 3 bucks a gallon
h 100LL avgas has about 9 times more lead than leaded autogas ever had, it is just lower than the old higher lead avgas.
I think it would be a waste of money for for your outboard unless you have considerably increased the compression. the old chrysler OB work best on about 87 octane.
Not correct. 1960's regular leaded usually had about 2 grams per gallon ... sometimes leaded super would have up to 4 grams per gallon. Blue dyed LL100 usually has about 0.85 gram per gallon and can't have more than 2 grams per gallon by law. Using more than 0.85 in current av gas isn't popular because lead doesn't raise the octane performance of the aromatic base fuel as much as it does for alkane based gasolines like old 1960's brews. Green dyed 100 octane AV gas is still available and can have 4.5 grams per gallon, but it is only available in certain areas (I think they are just high altitude airports like Denver, etc). The obsolete 130 rated av gas probably didn't have much more lead than 4 grams per gallon, because that is the range where consistant lead fouling becomes a problem ... not a good idea in an airplane.
