Anybody know what these are?

I bought a manifold and it came with carbs, i plan on selling the carbs because i have my own, any idea what these are? One of the carbs has D/C 4344S stamped into the base plate. Any idea how much they are worth?

i think it says carter next to your hand in the second picture. i think ford started making there own carbs a little later but i'm only guessing. also that carb was found on buicks 340ci of the same years. yeah,i'm bored.

Your right, it does say carter AFB on it, i didnt even notice that. Not sure how i didnt notice it...

Yea what he said.
Good carb in the right hands, so it is worth something.
It's like the Big Three debate as to which is better. The AFB is a complex carb.
I have used both, but Holley is more commonplace and easier to get parts for.
I would list the List number off the carbs and put them on Ebay.
Take the money and buy Holleys.

I'm not findingf any Fords either steel, but I AM finding a bunch of references to 340's & 360 CHRYSLER'S. I got a dime that's it and Mercury was likely a reference to Mercury Marine aka Mercruiser, not FoMoCo's Mercury.

Vey well could be a Lincoln/ Mercury, like the MEL 383 that was produced from 1958 thru 60 and the 430 that was produced from 58 thru 65, some or most of them used Carter AFBs.
