That's probably a 24" prop, and that speed sounds about right. If you want to go faster, you'll probably need to add horsepower, and get that same prop turning closer to 5,000 RPMs.
I have a 1996 25' Nordic with a stock plain 454. I run 58.8mph @4300 rpm. my prop doesnt say what the pitch is and i bought it with it on. What should i run to go faster?

How can I tel what pitch it is now for sure?
If it's not stamped on there (look for some numbers on the hub), then you'll have to give it to a prop shop to check the pitch.
they will usually be the last numbers ex 23p,22p,25p,or whatever size it is
3 blade mostly run in odd sizes 21,23,25,etc
4 blades run in even sizes 22,24,26,etc except for the rev 4 series 4 blades they run from 17-23

If it's a 1.5 drive then that would require a slip number down at 10%. That seems optimistic. I would bet that it's a 25 or even a 26, which could explain why that motor is only seeing 4300 rpm. What rpm does a stock 454 make max power at?
