I know that trying to take off the the drives trimmed up in an offshore is a nono. Not to mention a bitch to get on plane that way. But does it hurt anything to take off with the diverter all the way up?
I'm not in the habit of doing this but I have to admit it makes for some great video footage because it looks like the Sanger is gonna leap right out of the water. :rollside:

Does it hurt the jet drive or transom or no? No oil pressure issues.

Just ease off the gas pedal to ease back down in the water so you don't dump water over the transom and take a bath.

Already learned that little lesson. Bilge pump ran for a while because of that phuck-up. :rollside:

    Closet jetter?
You're gonna wear that thing out before you present it to dad.
You just might have to pick up a jet for yourself now that you've got the bug.

Tell me about it. I have been keeping an eye out for some type of tunnel hull or pickle fork jet. But I want a blower motor in it.
Would like to find something already set up rather than having to build it. At the same time I don't want to spend a fortune on one.(Can't afford too.) Probably going to be impossible to meet those requirements though huh.

also, if the engine stops the boat can slide right into the water vertically. Shouldn't hurt the pump or transom. There's a wheelie thread around here somewhere.
