Thread: difference in 4150 4779 750's????

    what's the difference in these 2 carbs? 4779-2 4779-3
    i don't get the -2 or -3 part. do they have the same meter plates and so on but maybe 1 came with choke and 1 not?thanks for the help, trying to buy some 750's to build.

    -3 is newer model than -2. The Holley book shows a 73 main jet for the secondaries on the -3 and 80's for the -2. It lists a different number for the primary metering block also. Could just be a superceded number. That is the only difference it shows. Hope this helps

    Different jetting. When i bought my Dominator, Holley showed a -1 and i bought a -2 on ebay. Holley tech said it was different jetting.

    that's what i was hopeing, its hard to buy to 750's offa ebay and get the exact same p#. i was just needing a couple carbs to restore and run on the blown tx.thanks for the info guys
