Thread: What sealant should I use?

    I have to replace some gas tank brackets this weekend and wanted to get some ideas what type of sealant to use. My gas tank brackets are through bolted to the hull and what ever silicone that was used originally really didnÂ’t hold up because the brackets where rusted at the bolt holes.

    I used Sea Going epoxy, reason being, I did not want things moving around. I may be a pain to remove, but it's sealed up rock solid

    That stuff is some great shit. I have enjoyed working with it too, easy as pie.

    I have used the 3m 5200 before works good.
