    where to buy online? what to look for? dont know anything about thses things... looking for a full setup... dual cd mixer.. speakers amp.. etc... was looking at www.123dj.com their full packages... any input would be appreciated!! thanks

    Ohh thsi will be used just for fun.. backyard party type of stuff... my dad has always wanted a setup... soo might just be his lucky day!

    That's a good place to start also try Hollywood DJ.com Try and avoid the Gemini stuff stay with Numark and Dennon stuff..... Even for fun you want it to last....

    I would go with www.pssl.com also. I have bought a bunch of stuff from them. If you have a guitar center near you you can go in and check out the stuff before you buy it.

    We used to go to ProSound too when they were in GG, and even Audio Climax in Rosemead back in the day - looks like they've gone bigtime.
    While having a setup/lights is very entertaining - it's also kind of a pain in the ass. Every friend, family member, and neighbor will hit you up to DJ, or to borrow your equipment (yeah, right). Lugging that crap around gets old.

    The CD player & the mixer look OK.......But.......Those speakers are listed at 8 ohms and that amp puts out 240 watts at 8 ohms......If you could get them to upgrade the amp for something with at least double that power you will be better off..........You know audio stuff is an addiction don't ya.
