If you are serious, I'll give this a shot....
If you are into staying true to character, James Bond is a character who is described a certain way by his creator. People playing that role, should be match the description given by the author. Otherwise they are not staying true to that specific character, and may not even be able to obtain a license to make the film.
I cant beleive you guys are serious.. but im not going to turn this into a racial thread.
But are you guys trying to typecast Bond?
This would be the ultimate test for a black actor (ok maybe not diddy) but someone of greater quality and class such as Tyson Beckford. Over the years alot of black actors have been in films traditionally typecast for white actors and have done great jobs (NOT will smith in wild wild west :yuk: )
Specific Charaters do not need to be a certain color, Bond is a charamastic world traveler international spy

You may be right but he'd have to be one helluva black actor. I'm okay with Bond being white cat with an english accent....

    Isnt that the truth.
For the record, I think he'd suck as Bond because everybody knows Sean Connery is the only REAL James Bond.

Have you ever read the James Bond books by Sir Ian Fleming?
    Of course not.
The character of James Bond was created as an English spy in the 1952 novel Casino Royale.
Odds of him being a black man? 0%.
Diddy proves yet again he's a self centered egomaniacal racist. Jerk.
His passive aggressive reverse racism makes him a contemptible twit in my book.
Why can't he let whitey have a white James Bond, like God and Sir Ian Fleming intended?
Plus, he banged Jennifer Lopez, so screw him.
    Thanks

PS Why not have Sean Connery play Kunta Kinte?

    Yeah,
Their are plenty of Black english actors who could pull it off.
And since their are black english ( even irish ) citizens, who says a sas agent couldnt be black.
As far as P-Diddy, I am pretty sure they would want 007 to be more than 4ft tall!LOL.
