I see some of you guys are running 427's and similar combos, what gives?? you dont need a longer stroke or are you going for big rpms?

I am thinking, an 80 over 429 in a v drive would kick ass, big bore short stroke.

I am running a .60 over 390ci with Edelbrock Intake, Herbert Cam.
It has been fine, but I am certainly used to it and wanting more power now...It is a 454 Chevy or 460 Ford next.

    WRONG, it's a 427 block with a 428 crank = 460!..

And it's expensive to run a Ford, because the crank snout is not strong enough to run off the balancer. The guys that used to run Fords had to build them as reverse rotation motors for super stock.
