    can you get tem for a standard cam.
    That is what I was wondering, but it seems nobody has the answer.

    can you get tem for a standard cam.
    you can order roller bearings from any industrial bearing supplier. tell them the journal diameter of your cam and then bore the block accordingly. The question then becomes, can your block accept the larger bore? In my Brodix block, in order to bore it for the 55mm bearings i had to order a +.400-inch rasied cam block so that the bore didn't go too far up into the lifter journals.
    as for 9.800 inch (standard) deck height chevy blocks...i have no clue if it will work, you'd have to ask a pro engine builder.

    We got away with the 55mm in a standard deck height probably because we also went with jesel keyway lifters which have to have the bushings installed anyway, so that gave us leeway on the lifter issue. I don’t know about doing it with standard lifters in that block though.

    mine is a 97 chevy vortec 350 full roller block. I will call the bearing company tommaro. Thanks for the info I will post back what they say.
