What's involved with converting my old logs to center riser? Will the new riser/downpipe just match up to the old exhaust?
Since I'm 90% freshwater lakes, is there any problem using the aluminum exhaust manifolds? I didn't think they made them, but they're for sale on Ebay  Just thought that saving 75 pounds might be nice.

Nope. You will most likely need a pair of the cast aluminum elbows that Mercury makes. They are a common install on newer motors where the exhaust goes through the prop, and also a commonly removed item when going through the transom. Any shop that does a lot of thru transom conversions, should have a stack of them....

Great, so I assume that the lower part of the exhaust that goes through the bellhousing is the same for old and new?
