The Rapid Craft ran 93mph and got to 60 in 9.5 seconds.The stoker ran 85mph and got to 60 in 14.5 seconds. The funny thing was one of the remarks was that the Rapid Craft was not for the novice and that anyone could drive a stoker!

It turns out, the image can't be improved because we don't have the mag to re-scan at higher resolution. We have the year and issue so if we can find someone with the September 1996 ***boat, we could maybe get it rescanned.
That looks like page 33 to me but it's pretty fuzzy.
Left click on the article and there is a zoom at the right bottom that will enlarge it but it is still not real clear.

Must have been a very light Stoker set up for racing.
That's way faster than any Stoker I've seen on the water.
