Ok, I think I have done enough research. I am not trying to get crazy or anything. Just want to keep up a little more. Here is my plan. Please feel free to give recommendations. I will try to add pictures of the pieces and prices. I haven't gotten into the batteries or cables yet. I will probably start researching that soon.

You are going to need lots of batteries...
For the money I would look at the NVS1 speakers instead of the Skylon.....NVS (www.nvs1.net) will kill those those Skylon speakers hands down and they are only a couple hundred $$'s...same power requirements but bigger and better drivers and horns...just my .02 I have tested both.
The rest of the stuff is nice....but I am not familiar with the Kenwood Amps...

That's funny, because those were my second option. I was going to go with the 1010 NVS1's, but I really am still on the fence. Not sure I need that big. Not to mention I would have to get bigger amps to push them. I think the reason I went with the Rubicon's is that they look a little better than the NVS1's. I will probably go back and forth a couple of times on those before I purchase.
Side Note: I am still going back and fourth on the L5 vs. L7's. Similar problem though. They need more power, and from what I have read, they need more cubic feet to really run properly than then L5's. To be honest, my kids are still young. So I am not sure that I would really be able to play the L7's like I would like. So the kid to use value came into play with my decision with those.

I can vouche for the newer Skylon's, We're running a pair under the hatch on our boat and they sound great. I also looked at the NVS but could'nt get a deal so it was about a $1000 difference. So far the skylon's are way loud and clear.
For amps I'd look at the new Alpine PDX didgital amps.....tons of clean power but they are vary efficient and don't use much battery. I'm running two 4 channel and one sub amp off three deep cycles batteries and haven't ever had them drain down. My good friend is running 6 PDX amps and only three batteries also and he's had no problems yet either. The efficiency of the digital amps is great.
    Good luck,
    Chris

I run 400x2 to 2 Entity 1010 and they are louder then anything I have come across...You can just not compare 8" car audio type drivers with Wave Glide type horns to the NVS stuff, Eminence 10" mid bass drivers and 4" Concert Type Horns...Looks are subjective; I think the Skylon's look rinky dink...and the next guy may differ in opinion......if you don't want to be the loudest don't go with the NVS...but the power requirements don't change...you still need 500 per cabinet...I thought you were looking at 500 per enclosure for the skylon as well.....Personally I would do a 1000x1 Alpine PDX to two Entity's if doing it again..small, efficient and clean..

You get what you pay for.....the level of workmanship and craftsman ship on the Entity's is second to none and I got them for 1800 for the set...On top that NVS custom crafted my Titan Speaker clamps to fit the NVS Speakers, so the wire could be internally routed through the tower AND clamp...just a higher end custom outfit at NVS...definitely not a mass produced product like the Skylon...

I like the NVS, but they do have the same HLCD speaker that the Rubicon has. Your right, size does matter. I will be looking at both.

Sweet setup. You haven't had any problems with those speakers getting too hot with the headers right there?

I agree, I ran the NVS speakers on my Moomba/Supra. They are unbelievable. I would get them through Wakeside. They sell them for the same price as NVS direct but you will get points(basically cash) towards futures purchases. Plus they have the best customer service EVER.
Btw, I ran Zapco amps and to them, and I couldnt have been happier.

Thanks, I buy a lot through Wakeside just for that reason. Usually enough to pay for shipping. Every little bit helps. I didn't see the NVS on Wakeside's website though.
