It is amazing how a leftist form of government in which all industry and commerce is under strict central government control (Fascisim) has been falsly linked to the political right. The lefts' phoney disassociation from fascism is one of the biggist propaganda coups of the 20th century.

The House cannot "pull" the troops. They can start pulling the purse strings tight. They could cut spending for the military, contractors and the intelligence folks. We will have to see what they do in the house and see if it matches what was said on the campaign trail.
I know that, but a lot of people seem to be in the dark on that.

Something to do with the media. I shake my head when the Liberals claim Republican control of the media.

    and voted. :yuk:
Just hope the socialists don't win.
I'm sitting here on my hands in utter frustration. My vote did nothing to sway or help keep Dem control from happening. My Rep Senate vote for Kay Bailey Hutrchinson went towards a big shoe in victory as did my congressional vote for Ron Paul.
The one that took the House seat contended in TX vacated by DeLay went to Democratic idiot Nick Lampson. I couldn't vote in that district. Since DeLay's name was forced onto the primary ballot by court order, his Rep successor Shelley Decula-Gibbs, who won big for the 2 month fill in for Delay, was a wtite in on the main ballot. That meant a confusing write in issue plus any straight party Rep ballots cost her the votes needed to beat Lampson. The margin was close enogh to make me believe she would have won handily if her name was on the ballot.
I give it to the Dems because they fought and won the ballot issue through Dem appointed judges. Tom DeLay let the country down by resigning and allowing a lot of these things to happen.
Our nation is full of people not realizing what they've done by allowing the liberal Dem agenda to get control: higher taxes and burdens on business will be coming.
Plugging your nose and voting for the Republican lame asse candidates was certainly the lesser of the evils.

We have never had "Fascism" in power in the U.S.A. However, if you breakdown the idiology of Fascism you will see it has much in common with the democratic party platform (ie a key element in each is greater government control of industry and commerce). You may well not like the Bush Administration or Republicians and you may well believe that they have allowed big buisness run amok etc. But their pro private industry approach is the opposite of true "Fascism". Therefore, calling anyone who is pro private buisness or pro big buisness (ie Republicians) "Fascists" is silly and simply shows a lack of knowledge of politics and history.
