On the low end you are looking at $1000. On the high end your looking at $1800. The roller cam can run a $1000 just for cam and lifters if you don't have a factory roller block because you have to use an aftermarket retro fit hyd roller lifter.
What would the price range I could expect to pay to freshen up a stock 454? (rings, bearings) Assuming no major damage. Also how much more would I expect to pay for a roller cam install at the same time?
Thanks
Matthew

Just substitute 454 wherever it says 502

Straub has good figures there. I rebuilt mine 2 winters ago, spent 1800 aprox, but that included an aftermarket manifold and $400 hydraulic cam kit upgrade. My labor and the rebuild was very close to 1 grand.
I just finished rebuilding my motor. I bought new pistons and rings (good guy hookup from wiseco) bearings, gaskets, seals, head bolts, and had the block bored, line bored, valve job with a repaired crack, etc. By the time I was done, I think I had around $2300 into it. I did all the assembly myself.
