... presenting a proof of concept network configuration to a client. The network is supposed to be self defending, quality of service, etc., etc.
.... to demonstrate the network, I have a bunch of laptops. Some of these laptops haven't been used in many months. In fact, a couple of them haven't been used since last summer at the lake to surf and talk shit on ***boat when I'm there.
... so all machines are chatting away with ftp, p2p, traffic generators, etc., while I demonstrate how interactive traffic cannot be denied by traffic surges, DoS attacks, etc. Fine... the demo is going great. I've got some guys FTPing some stuff around, and the client is blown away. ... that's about the time I notice someone has FTP'd a file called 'chickendance.wmv' into my folder.
"What's that?", I ask.
"I don't know, I found it in the temp directory of this laptop."
... so I go ahead and open it up. At this time, I should point out that the laptop in front of me is connected to a projector that is busy creating an 8' image for all to see.
Media Player opens... the video begins to play... and it turns out, it's a morbidly obese man and woman having sex on a creaky bed. These people had flesh flipping and flopping around like landed marlins. I instantly recognize it as a video sent to me by Jbb as part of his ongoing 'operation fat chicks' assault on my ***boat PM inbox.
WTF?!!!
As always is the case, it took me an eternity to kill video. By the time I got it shut down, they were laughing their asses off. Fortunately, all techies are pigs so a little morbidly obese porn is no problem.
... but it's just as well my boss wasn't auditing the presentation.
