Was thinking maybe we should start up the Hot Boat band. Then we could play certain boating functions and what not. I play classic/modern top 40 rock...was thinking of doing a band that covers all hard rock from the 70s/80s to now. Any takers?

I was just going to say the same thing. Trying to get everyone to practice together is tough enough without you west coasters having to drive 2000 mines 4 days a week. :rollside:

Well the way I figure it...and I've done a band like this before with great success...if we all decide on songs and whatnot to play, if we all have copies of the songs and learn them note for note off the CD, we should have no problem coming together and playing them perfectly. The main thing would be getting song endings down for songs that have a fade out ending (since you have to make them up).
What I'm thinking is a band that isn't just a band of 4 guys who set up their stuff and play. I'm thinking more of a professionally done act. Kinda like a live rock concert type of thing. I have a PA that will more than supply us with rock concert sound, but the concert energy has to be there in the playing itself.

Back in my previous life before the wife & kid. I played drums with a few bands in the bay area.
Still have the 12 piece tama's with the full cage. Can't beleive I don't have any pics.
Let me know if you need a drummer. Might be a good time.

Actually...we do need a drummer! As well as a bass player and a singer! lol
I would be the lead guitarist...basically lookin' to put together a 4 piece band. Figured we'd do some Zeppelin, some of the 80s hair rock, Priest, Maiden, Crue...that type of thing, and maybe throw a few of the newer ones in there as well.
