what pump is better????????

I have two jets and am trying to figure out wich one is better fit for me.My toy is a 86 catalina open bow 21 foot and i am getting ready to put a new a built 496 in it/one is a berkley jet model #12JC-a///and the other is a berkley jet model # 12JG-a.And what is the main diffrence if any .......thank you guys for your help

Model Identification

You will find an identification tag attached to the pump next to the thrust bearing grease fitting. This tag will be stamped with the pumps model number. Use the tests below if the tag is missing or unreadable.
12JC – Hand hole is inside the boat transom and the pump bowl and nozzle housing are a one-piece unit.
12JG – Hand hole is inside the boat transom, but the pump bowl and nozzle housing are separate units.
12JE – Hand hole is outside the boat transom and the pump bowl and nozzle housing are a single unit.
12JF – Hand hole is outside the boat transom and the pump bowl and nozzle housing are a single unit, but a gimbal ring is used to rotate the nozzle.

what is the diffrence between a droop or a snoot?I will have to try to post some pics tomorrow...New to jets retired v-driver i appreciate all help , i belive one of the jets i already built up a little....the boat is just a little slow only around 55 that is why i am putting in a new 496 in also .

I just figured out the diff. i have a droop installed on the 12JG-a and the 12JC-a, i belive to be stock...Im not quite sure but im thinking around 600/650 horse power,and the boat is kinda big so i was just looking for more bottom end ,and a little top speed mabey 65/70mph...what do you guys think.?
