I think it's great that you guys are trying to get circle jets going in SoCal again. Do you know any of the ancient history of the sport?
In the late 60s, when SCSC invited jets to race at LBMS for the first time ever, a large group of rookies showed up..........and put on a bad show! Spinouts, crashes, boats on the rocks and into the parking lot. It took a few years before jetters were able to get another place in the program. (Ya wonder where the rudder rule came from?) When they did get back, they were much more experienced (thanks to NJBA) and put on some good racing.
I hope you guys have a great race at Ming, have lots of fun and give priority to putting on a good, safe show.
BTW, this is silly
rule 16) Diverter stop (Rooster Tail not to exceed about 4 off the water).
Are you kidding? Afraid to get water spots on your driving suits?? You're going to race Jet Boats. They have rooster tails. You get Wet!!! Get used to it! Put RainEx on your face shield. Bring a change of clothes.
