I am a huge Bond fan, and I can say without prejudice or regret that this is absolutely the best James Bond movie to date. Daniel Craig IS Bond, and he did it using acting and style instead of the Q division.
As it is technically the first in the Bond series, the movie does a great job setting up Craig as a "Double 0" agent, along with any reservations or issues he has with his new status. He is great as Bond, and has a semi-creepy resemblance to me of a cross between Steve McQueen and Vladimir Putin... which makes him that much more evil.
I don't want to blow the movie for you, so I won't... but to give you an idea of what a departure this movie is from what we would normally expect from the normal 007, while pissed and frustrated he orders his classic dry Martini. When the bartender asks if he wants it shaken or stirred he replies curtly... "Do I really look like I give a shit?"
    The theatre went wild...
Two big roosts up for Casino Royale. Best Bond yet. And, thanks to his scene while swimming off the coast in the Bahamas... I have recently started working out again... and dieting... and riding my bike more...

    ...I agree.
    We saw it yesterday.
The whole Bond franchise changes by the end of the movie...
I was always a Sean Connery fan,but with a darker side, and more of an edge, the new guy pretty much makes you realize, the other previous Bond's were all more or less cartoonish,caricatures...
    Excellent movie.

I agree...they made the guy human or more like other guys this time....not the way over the top smoothy dude that only exists in chick novels..
Definitely liked it better then the last 8-10 that have been created

Yeah, I am with you. For the first time I felt like Bond was someone I know. I literally have worked with people exactly like that, with all of the same neurosis's and physical attributes. That guy is real... ish.
    I loved this movie...

Saw the movie a couple weeks ago. Thought Daniel Craig made a GREAT James Bond...nailed the humor without it coming across as cheezy. Movie had a pretty believable plotline, fast moving, all the sexiness and action of the of the other movies...all and all I give it 2 thumbs up
