We are investigating more. We have the approval of the board to meet with the city and see where this goes.
I am making a choice to keep this in not such a public forum to stop the rumor mill.
These are the facts as they stand. Lake Ming is available to NJBA on May 6th & 7th. This leaves only one weekend between races from the April race. Members have spoken up and said that this is too soon. We approached Kern County, and they have no other weekend available to NJBA during May.
We brought up the idea of having an Elsinore race to see if this was even a possibility (due to the need of volunteers). We have been investigating the idea and things/people that would be needed.
Before the race can be officially announced, NJBA will have to look at all of the financial & logistic aspects of this race to see if it will be a possibility. At this point, we need to meet with the Lake Director and City Council to if it is at all possible.
As I said, I have decided that I will be calling the individuals who are already involved to keep them posted with updates on a weekly basis ... but all other information will be posted on NJBA's official web site www.njbaracing.net on the main page to keep everyone updated. If it does look like it is going to happen, there will be meeting times posted there to plan this out.
