It was 104 degrees below zero F (-75.5 degrees C) the year Martinez
joined the club. The wind chill made it feel like -144 degrees F (-97.7
degrees C).
Ive been in -40F below cold up in Old Forge NY.
When you spit, it freezes and craclkes before it hits the ground.
That's going from approx. 90-95F in your mouth to frozen almost instantly!!!
From the article there's no mention of how far the run around the pole is.
At -104F below, frostbite of the fingers, ears, nose and private parts would be in just a few seconds.
