I really dont feel like poking two holes through the back of my hull . Anyone got pictures of there hydraulic line install. I dont have the braided line either . Should I even bother with the plastic line.

I have never seen a plastic line fail except my buddy loaned his boat to a buddy and that guys little kid fell off the back and ripped the plastic line out of the fitting. (dummy) If that happens its a really easy quick fix soooo go ahead and use the plastic line. IMHO. Good luck.

I ran my lines through the transom adaptor instead of drilling the hull

I did the same for my stainless braided teflon hose.

I drilled and tapped my hull, I'm still using the plastic but I'd rather have the stainless .........Who has the hook-up on the braided lines?

At the time of install I had a fiberglass transom adapter and it was on its last leg so I decided to install the line thru the transom. If I had the cash at the time I would have bought a used aluminum transom adapter and installed the lines thru the adapter. I am not a big fan of drilling holes into my hull. However, I decided to go with the braided lines for looks and durability on the outside of the hull and the plastic ones on the inside of the hull. I haven’t heard anything bad about the plastic lines but I am sure that the braided lines will weather better than the plastic.
