Long story short, the car needs to have a bonded title purchased. The DMV valued the salvaged title car at $10,000 and the bonded title is set at $15,000 (1.5x the value). I know this car isn't worth $10,000 and KBB shows it as $5,500 and we paid less than that by far. It is going to kill be to buy this title with the value that high. Anyone have any suggestions, or should I just suck it up. I am sick and tired of this process. We have seen the DMV probably 7 times so far.
The guy I bought my old Jeep from had a bonded title in AZ on what was a salvage title in CA. The value of the bond was $5,000. and it cost him about $50.
