I need a hand held gps so I can get some numbers to go off of next time I'm in the boat. I just cant see my pocket book letting go of $300 for one though . Anyone seen any deals on them .

Garmin E-Trex, hands down. Comes in a few different models ranging from about 100-200Bucks. I think I paid 120 for the Venture and it does all I need. Distance,altitude,max-speed etc....

Thats what I'm talkin about . Where did you get it . Some one told me to go to best buy . I'm not the shopping type so I'm gonna need a little help narrowing it down.

wal-mart had them the last time I checked. Picked up one for just under 100. That was the e-trex.

This a great place to narrow your search and get a feel for the models in the price range your looking at. Ive never bought anything using that page but I usually start the search there. Good Luck
