I thought it was just me. I get that in my New Chevy w/extended cab.
I've got a 2006 Chevy Colorado pick-up. I bought it so I could have cheap tranportation for my job. It's worked out pretty good. Except, about 80% of the time I get in or out of the little POS, I get shocked. You know, one of those shocks you get at the casino every time you touch a new slot machine.
It's not bad but, it's bad enough. If I got a shock like that everytime I took a drag off a smoke, I'd quit today.
Is there anyway to stop these static shocks? Or am I gonna have to get rid of the truck? I would prolly lose about $6000 if i trade it in. It's only got 8500 miles on it. But the shocks are bugging the crap outta me.

Do you have cloth seats?
Ed take that thing to the dealer,They should have a fix.
Either that or throw some gas on it and use the shock like a spark.
Do you have cloth seats?
yes. Why is that what it is.
do u drag your feet
I bought an 02 Trailblazer when it first came out. I thought it was cursed because it shocked the hell out of me every time I got in it. We had a Pavlovian fear every time we approched it, timidly sticking the index finger out, slowly approching the thing, then suddenly, POKE!-ZAP!
Mine does the same thing.
