Just purchased this Hondo, I was told it was a 68,Is that true, I got a bill of sale no title. What kind of Hondo is this? This is my first v-drive.I already have a jetboat. It says Hondo on the vin tag but an unstamped one.Says Hondo around the cover where the prop shaft goes through the floor. But looks complete besides motor plates.Gonna be a new project. I know this boat is not a lake boat more of a river boat?Do they perform well.I picked the boat up for $400.00.The stringers are in grat shape and transome. Was it a good deal? Here are some picks

A box end wrench just take the closed end of a wrench and tap the floor. Do this throughout the floor. It will sound solid or like your tapping on a hard wood or plastic. If its delaminated it will make a flat tin like sound.

Is it a runner bottom or a true flat?
Can you make out the VIN number, I see it in the picture of the back but can't make it out. The vin number will tell you post it if you can read it and somebody can decode it. Mines a 78 Hondo runner bottom and yours looks the same from the pictures.

I think it is a true flat.It looks straight under , with just a little curve. The plate I found was on the front stringer, says Hondo, the weight limits but no vin #s stamped
