Nothing crazy bout that at all. Go for it. :crossx:
The 572 Chevrolet in a gullwing tunnel? How easy/crazy would that be?

There are teams in Canada doing some testing with the ZZ572 right now. So far the jury is out. I've heard they are having some problems but that it may be set-up or some minor parts problems, not so much the actual factory build or that they are not specifically marine engines. Its all started because the unlimited and A class motor costs were spiraling out of control, limiting the number of racers willing to go up in class. The ZZ572 is around $15K, a typical A or unlimited motor is usually $30-50K. Anyway, long story short, keep your eyes/ears tuned into the aluminum boat guys, specifically some of the teams in Canada. If they can make them reliable with the way we use them, then any lake guy should be able to unless maybe he's at the drags every weekend-Aluminum Squirt
I have been talking with the former owner of Outlaw boats quite a bit.

We owned our last jetboat for 18 years. At 15000.00 for that zz572 its less than 1000. per year!
Justified? or do I need to keep trying
But thats not saying that the ZZ572 would last 18 years. Its not proven yet. Maybe its good for only 2 years, or 20. Time will tell.
Do it

Who on the boards is running one and are they happy with it?
Ask Greg Shoemaker..... I think that is his choice for a lake boat... a 572", medium compression and nitrous in a gullwing!
