i have a 454 with a tunnel ram and dual carb set up.
when i crank it over it will start but will only idle for about ten seconds then it will cut out. If I give it gas after i turn it starts it will cut out also. I just got new plugs and wires and it still does the samething. Any suggestions.

If its got Holley's on that tunnel ram, pull the float level inspection screw, make sure the fuel level is right. Sounds like your're running out of gas...

sounds like floats are either to high or low. if they're to high, fuel may slosh up and outta the vent tube. if its they're to low, it may starve 1 of the jets and stall.make sure the carbs have the whistles on the meters blocks too.
