Looks great so far Dave. Keep the pics coming.
Finally made some headway...............Finished roughing out the mounts today.
The first time I saw this style with the rear mount mounted to the rear of the bell housing was on a 21 Daytona rigged by Tom Stolarz back in the late 70s or early 80s. I like it because you don't have to run a separate flywheel cover and the top mount starter is a no brainer. Would work great on Fords too, since the rear mount is a pain on them.

The rails still need some attention but you get the picture............db
Looks great so far Dave. Keep the pics coming.
Looking good.
Nice job...good idea with the rear mount, especially if you need to go top mount starter. I've sen that style of rail mount mostly on circle boats. What made you choose that style over the typical angle mounted inside the stringer? It looks good and strong, that's for sure.
What hull?
Makes for more room between the stringers for sure, clean looking
Nice job, i love the do-it yourselfers.
Where'd you get that bell housing. I HATE having to replace my starter in my boat. Its such a PITA. That way also seems to keep the starter up and out of the way from water so I bet It lasts a lot longer. Nice rail kit too, I'll be doing one of these next winter probably. I gotta do my carpet and false floor first though.

I like the rail kit without the Pillow Blocks. Looks sturdy as hell.
nice!
tell us a little about the boat.
That looks clean. Is the hand hole cover half way in or aft of the transom? What intake and any mods? Post some pics of the hull if you dont mind. Great looking set up.
