My new project build. Actually I bought it over a year ago, I knew I didnt have time to work on it for quite some time when I bought it. But it was too good a deal not to buy, so I stored it till I could. Now I have the time!
Brought it home this weekend and started setting up the rail kit. Plan to have it running April or May and looking to try to make Jet Fest this year.
I've been gathering parts for awhile and have most of the engine, gauges, fuel and wiring. But, no seats yet.......Any one have a sourse for seats for a 19ft Eliminator

I dont know if I'm all that qualified to answer your question, but the ride plate on mine goes all the way to the intake opening and has a shoe at the opening.
If your not running a shoe/ride plate I guess you could have a ride plate that starts at the back of the boat. I had a gull wing a few years back that was set up like that.
ATXWRANGLER, you might recognize my fuel tanks, I think it was you I bought them from on Ebay last year.
I have several engine options. I have all the parts for a 496 with a B&M 250 blower, also have a mild 468 pump gas deal that I might go with first just to get it all together and ring out the bugs. And I'm building a 555 for my Camaro, I may just set the 505 out of the Camaro into the boat when I install the 555 in the car. Right now I'm leaning towards the 468.

On Most Boats, the Back Of The Suction Housing Is Machined To Accept The Ride Plate.so To Answer The Question,it Should Bolt Up To The Bottom Of The Suction Housing On The Pump.

Does suction housing need to be machined down some to make the plate same as bottom of hull ?? or with a sharp leading edge ?

Consider the rideplate's function, a surface the boat leans on at full speed to help stabalize the hull's attitude. There should be as little drag as possible so as smooth a surface junction as possible. It should match the back edge of the shoe, although slightly higher than the shoe would be acceptable. Sticking down any into the water would not be.
    That's my understanding of it.

Ok that makes sence, less drag the better...
