    You're better off using a pressure bypass valve than a regulator as many regulators are flow restrictive. Should be set to blow off around 20 lbs give or take depending on who you talk to.

    A bypass valve works great. But I am currently using a gate valve on this boat just because I didn't want to do the extra plumbing. And the reason for using a gate valve over a ball valve is that you can fine tune it easier. With the bypass valve just make sure you leave enough pressure to kick your basset valve and water your headers.
