There is something to be said for stock parts, after my msd died I went back to ford dura spark everything and it runs fine and had no problems, and the up shot is I can get parts to make it run anywhere.

Did the box die or the distributor ? Damn, thanks for keeping me aware guys ! This one is used too and I guess it has worked for a while for the owner, if that means anything.

Did Wes ever show you how to static time it? You can time it exactly without the engine running, if you want to know how, give me a call.
