I just bought my first flatbottom - a Frahs- and already I'm thinking of summer. Can anyone tell me of good spots to run a flatbottom without getting hassled in or near western MA.?

Only noise and speed - breasts never trouble, unless they belong to someone other than our significant others.
Seriously, I get stopped for antique boats that we run being to loud in western MA. We fired up a 280 hydro that we rebuilt to test the engine, and we were escorted off the ramp in 15 minutes.
Are there any flatbottoms running in the northeast???? There must be someone from NH or eastern NY?
I'm about 60 miles west of Albany, not running a flat
but a V bottom V-drive Cole SS.Noise is a issue in
NY you need mufflers at all the lakes I go to,and
some have speed limits.

In Connecticut they just don't allow cooking of food on the fire coming out of the pipes....
Anyone know of good spots to go on the Hudson or Connecticut rivers?
BWB,
I live in Greenfield, run on the Conn. river out of barton's cove with my jet and have had on issues as of yet. My bud has a 75 hondo 5/8" runner bottom w/ 468 bbc, over transom headers, and has not had any trouble either. Just need to obey the no wake zone leaving the ramp and you shouldn't have any problems. My jet has thru transom w/ logs, The hondo has baffels and water injection. Shoot me an e-mail at home and maybe we can get together this summer. Always looking for someone else with similar boats to hang with.

I knew there had to be a few v-drives and flatbottoms around here!
A couple ramps in Portland CT and a ramp in Higganum on the CT river. Camping on the island in Haddam, beach in Cromwell called the Peninsula and and Island just north of the Peninsula where all the boats hang out.
