Looks like a Mach 1, I think its based on the Placecraft Drag Star bottom but I could be wrong.

Anybody know anything about this hull:

Saw it on Boattrader, description says "Make: #1 Hull"
"1979 #1 HULL 18', race hull, bought new at LA boat show"

Think that boat was on ebay awhile back as well.....
placecraft is a good hull from what i have heard!
Looks like a Mach 1 to me as well. It is either based off the placecraft or the southwind either way its roots are in the southwind.
I agree with Moneysucker. It looks like a Mach 1 and the roots would be Southwind.

Kinda looks like my buddies Pioneer, but not sure.
atleast hes honest... "70mph on pump gas" then again I love ripping ppl apart with there 100mph+ 1000+ hp motors...
Mach 1 tunnel was out before a placecraft was ever built, a lot like a southwind tunnel, good boats, have had 3 of them, Jim
The Hull 1 was a drop box dealio in the boat trader form I could'nt get rid of.The hull is a Makira, roomer is they made 2.This one was bought at LA boat show by Sherrie Bishop of Bullhead City and rigged for the river with a Aries motor. Was raced in Parker by Fred Izzy (jet boat Fred)And had the motor pulled the hull being sold to my neighbor were it sat in his garage for 9 years.I put the Tom Papp auction twisty headers on and it and sold to a guy in Wilcox AZ who has'nt picked it up yet.I'm guessing from the out of buissness in to buisness dates the mold was sold to Mach boats.
