    I wonder if they rescued the pilot. Our guys always go full power at landing so if they miss the cables they can touch and go....

    Look closely....he snagged the wire, it pulled off the tail hook. The cable got caught in the left engine afterburner nozzle, slowed the aircraft......then popped loose.
    Time for a swim.
